My Photography
The first time I ever used a camera was in college taking a black and white 35mm film photography class. As soon as I developed my first photo I was hooked. Borrowing the 35mm camera changed the way I looked at pictures. After the class, I purchased a Sony a50 and used that for a few years, but it wasn't until a few years later when I realized that there was a difference between breathtaking scenery and taking a breathtaking photo. I bought a new camera and made the switch to a mirrorless system and brought it everywhere, out into the mountains every weekend, on trips across the country, anywhere I could. Taking photos on our adventures is my way of sharing the world with you.
My Woodworking
Starting off with only a few tools and an interest, I started building things in my parents garage. With my first full project being a coffee table for a family member, the excitement of bringing a completed project to someone was just incredible. Fast forward to now, and my goal for all of the pieces that I build is for them to be unique and stand the test of time. Making custom furniture, from a concept to a completed project, has taught me a lesson in attention to detail. Every piece that I make, I apply this lesson and try to make each piece nicer than the last. Building furniture to me is a challenging puzzle with great rewards, getting to share a completed project with is why I love what I do.
